My background is as diverse as my quilts. I am a card-carrying member of an ever- growing population of non-practicing attorneys. I have found my true calling not in writing legal briefs, but in the art of design. I began quilting after my divorce. It was one of my many roads explored as I traveled towards self-reclamation. Quilting became and remains today one of my greatest joys in life.
Here’s what you might like to know about my quilts. Every piece of work on this site is what I call “stream of conscious” quilting. It is a purposeful break from the quilting tradition that is based on patterns. I love playing with colors, fabric design and textures. My quilts are usually a mix of fabrics, typically cotton, silk and linen. Sometimes I might use rayon or even the dreaded polyester (some fabrics are just too darn fun to pass up). I am often using old cloth such as dishtowels, curtains and clothing as the centerpiece of a quilt. Every quilt is one-of-a-kind. If my smile grows as the quilt unfolds then I know I’ve created something special. I hope you agree.
